Geocaching is a global treasure hunt using GPS technology to find hidden caches. They range from the traditional ammo container to tiny magnets barely large enough to contain a log to intricate puzzles that must be solved in order to open the container (and, of course, a plethora of Tupperware containers). There is even a Geocache on the International Space Station.

Geocaching’s virtual cousin.

Waymarks are interesting locations around the world that you can visit and log. There are categories for every conceivable locale from Museums & Castles to Sculptures & Bridges to Parks & Trails and even the mundane like McDonald’s.
